Renaming and unnaming the ‘veroudering’ or ‘vergrijzing’ is the very beginning of the journey I am about to take with you.
These two words don’t carry any harm in what they say or tell, but they contain an image within our society and our future selves. It contains the image of loneliness. Of accomplishing your duty and losing purpose. Of wrinkles engraved in a tired face framed by grey hair.
But is that all that there is left?
After all, aging is ‘just’ a natural process found in (our) nature.
As normal as it sounds like, as special it can be.
Aging can mean to explore, to share knowledge and to evolve and unfold.
